GetCoattail is an educational data site that tracks what large investors, corporate insiders and members of Congress report in public SEC and congressional filings — and then publishes how the signals in those filings actually performed. It is a data and education site, not an investment adviser: nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
Form 13F portfolios of 83 tracked funds, insider transactions on SEC Form 4, congressional stock trades under the STOCK Act (U.S. House Clerk and U.S. Senate eFD disclosures), financial screens computed from SEC company financial statements, and red-flag models such as the Beneish M-Score, Altman Z″ and Sloan accruals — used as warning screens, never as verdicts.
Every figure traces back to a public filing cited on the page where it appears, and missing data is labelled "Data unavailable" rather than estimated. How each number is measured — entry and exit timing, benchmarks, sample sizes and survivorship limits — is set out in our Methodology, and every published signal is scored in public on our Track Record page, losing quarters included.
